About the Artist - Mary Smith
Born and raised in Michigan, I attended Wayne State University for Art Education. Doing the 1970's thing, I got married and subsequently had three sons. I continued my art education through Royal Oak and Warren Adult Education classes until I became their instructor in watercolor and drawing. In addition, I audited classes in artistic anatomy and figure classes at the Center for Creative Studies in Detroit. Relocated to Minnesota in 1999. My subject matter tends to be what I can find with my camera on road trips. So that being said, by the grace of God and the school of self-taught, here I am. - MC Smith
